Our Story

Corridor Community Options is a not-for-profit organization located in Enfield, Nova Scotia. CCOA (Corridor Community Options for Adults) supports adults with intellectual disabilities through programming and social enterprises such as Rick’s Riches Thrift Store and Wood Products Manufacturing.

CCOA has served the community of East Hants and beyond since opening in the 1970’s. We offer a variety of programs and services all dedicated to fostering independence and improving the quality of life for those we support.

"However they come to Corridor - walking or rolling - they are just people, not looked upon as different. The gang really looks after one another. They don't see a difference and neither does the staff. They are really treated equally. It's a wonderful environment."

This October at Corridor Community Options for Adults, we partnered with Cup of Soul to celebrate National Coffee Day and Disability Employment Awareness Month! Our Purposeful Products team put together a fun fall filled basket for the cause and the profits will go towards our Dream Fund.

The Dream Fund is a new program that provides individuals at CCOA with the opportunity to achieve meaningful personal experiences and goals. It will provide funding for unique dreams such as a trip, piece of equipment, or experience that creates lasting joy and memories. While the Dream Fund is not yet ready for release just yet, we look forward to sharing it with you soon!

Thank you for supporting the Dream Fund! Enter here with whatever amount you choose for your chance to win the raffle basket: https://square.link/u/mz93waTA

Come take a look at the raffle basket at Cup of Soul Elmsdale: 7 Horne Rd, Elmsdale, NS, B2S 1H9 from October 1st-October 14th, open 7:00am-4:00pm!

What is Disability Employment Awareness Month? (DEAM)

This month highlights the value of people with disabilities in the workplace and challenges stigmas surrounding disability. It encourages employers to adopt practices that foster social inclusion and economic equality.
